Softball is in great heart with Levin United teams playing a triple-header at Playford park tomorrow.
It’s the first time in many years Levin has fielded as many teams. It’s a boost for the sport to see so many players taking the diamond, a flashback to halcyon days that put the town on the softball map.

Not too long ago Levin was a softball powerhouse, producing champion players and hosting its own leagues in all grades.
The main game between Levin United Premier Women and Matua Ma promises to be a highlight.
Meantime, Levin United is holding a barbecue fundraiser on the day for two local teenage basketball players, Latrell Tatana-Weheipeihana and Mayson Beissel, who have made teams to tour Melbourne in January.
The action kicks off at 11am.
DRAW: Levin United Reserve Women vs Huia, 11am. Levin United Men vs Matua Ma, 12.30pm. Levin United Premier Women vs Matua Ma, 2.30pm.
